Probation Director Says Chairs Will Become Focus Of
Activity
Colin Allars has told the Association's full council that
the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) will not be
interfering unnecessarily in trusts' business and will be
refocusing activity to deal primarily with chairs.
£120M Tag Business May Open Up
The prospect of trusts being able to bid for more than
£100M worth of electronic monitoring business has been raised by
the Ministry of Justice.
Future Of Probation Discussed
Christine Lawrie answered the question posed by this
year's PA-sponsored McWilliams probation lecture at Cambridge
University.
Prisoner Spec Needs Scrutiny
A NOMS specification for managing prisoners pre and post
sentence will need to be considered carefully and by a range of
consultees, says the PA's Future OPtions Round Table group.
Staff To Leave
The PA says goodbye to two long serving members of its
support staff at the end of July.
